NSSA Event #3
Our two women's short boarders Maddie Garlough and Makena Burke carried the team during our weekend in Santa Cruz. Makena won all of her heats including finishing 1st in the final. Maddie dropped an excellent score of a 9-point ride and finished 4th place in the final. On the men's shortboard side, the best performance came from Noah Brown who made it to round 3. All other men on the A team fell out in the 1st and 2nd rounds, as they faced lackluster waves during the peak high tide. Our long boarder, Trent Webster, made it to the semi-finals, which secured some solid points for the team. The team placed 6th in the tournament, and we hope to improve our performance during our next contest, which is the State Championships on March 3rd-5th.
