On the weekend of November 7th and 8th, the UCSD English Equestrian Team co-hosted the second show of the season with USD. The show was hosted at the Del Mar Horsepark, with 10 colleges and universities in attendance, and over 100 riders and spectators present. The UCSD team did exceptionally well, both in the success of the hosting of the show and in the performance of the UCSD riders. On Saturday, Alyssa Franklin was awarded 6th place in walk-trot; Audrey Lunde was awarded 5th in walk-trot. Captain Aleena Karamally was awarded 6th place in novice flat, and captain Anna Young was awarded 6th in intermediate fences and 1st place in intermediate flat. Jamie Lee was awarded 2nd place in advanced walk-trot-canter. Jill Farinsky was awarded 2nd place in open fences, and Becca Huntly-Playle was awarded 2nd in open flat. Allie Sweet was awarded 6th place in beginning walk-trot-canter. On Sunday, Lee was awarded 1st place in advanced walk-trot-canter; Karamally was awarded 5th in intermediate fences and 1st in novice flat, and Young was awarded reserve in intermediate fences and 4th in intermediate flat. Franklin was awarded 2nd in walk-trot, and Lunde was awarded reserve in walk-trot; Farinsky was awarded 3rd in open flat and Huntly-Playle was awarded 2nd place in open fences. An additional congratulations to captains Young and Karamally, both of whom received enough points this weekend to point out and move onto the next level of their flat classes, with Karamally moving into intermediate flat and Young moving into open flat!
