Shredding the Fresh Pow
This season is turning out to be awesome so far for the Ski and Snowboard Team at UC San Diego! With 4-5 feet of fresh pow to shred and find in them trees, Race 2 of 5 turned out well for the team and especially for one of the best skiers on the team Joseph Breuer! He once again has slammed the rest with FIRST PLACE for the second race in a row in Giant Slalom (GS). Not going to lie, he’ll probably keep it up too. Second season team member, who recently returned from studying abroad in Chile, Kirstin Barnhart didn’t miss a beat, obviously, when she got 3rd in GS and Slalom. This was quite a monumental race for the league because for the first time in three years they brought back SKIER/BOARDER CROSS, sort of like motocross, and man was it a blast! Weaving their way through the brackets Hakan Erol placed 7th and Jeff Lampert in 8th out of 37 dudes. A solid finish for the weekend of festivities, and looking forward to racking up even more points and days on ze mountain.
