Sat 2/25 “I am 32 years old, love watching chess, and enjoy long walks on the beach” – Senior Jake “Uncle Drew” Cuffe.  However, this is one beach that proved to be difficult to walk over.

The UC San Diego Tritons looked for redemption against CSU Long Beach after a tough 6-8 loss last year. The Tritons knew the game plan and took the field ready for a beachy battle. Taylor “The Surgeon” Gulrajani took to the face-off x and the game was underway.

But what surgeon can ever be 100%?  Taylor won his fair share, giving his team the possession they needed to run their true Triton lacrosse.  Joseph “The Rev” Sawires came up big with 5 ground balls and 4 assists, proving his ability to set up the offense for success.  Michael “Lion Claw” Paxton was on the receiving end of Joe’s passes, scoring 3 goals.

Unfortunately, the Tritons were unsuccessful this round, losing 11-8 in a hard-fought, scrappy game.  They are already looking forward to next season in what is becoming an interesting divisional matchup
