Nationals Weekend
Last weekend, April 9th and 10th, the UC San Diego Women’s Rugby team went to Davis to compete for the Western Regional National Championships. They started the weekend off by playing Chico State on Saturday. UC San Diego had a slow start to the game and Chico was the first team to score by making a penalty kick. However, the Lady Tritons rallied and ended up only losing by two points.
The next day UC San Diego played Washington State for third place in the Western Regional division. The final score of the game was Washington 43 – UCSD 12 which placed UC San Diego fourth in the Western Regional division.
