The ski and snowboard team competed in all freestyle events last weekend, with a Slopestyle competition on Saturday and Rail Jam on Sunday, which replaced Boarder/Skier Cross due to a lack of snow. The girls had many top 10 finishes in both events on the Skier’s and Snowboarder’s sides, but the boys could not keep up with the amazing freestyle riders from CSULB and NAU.

Next weekend is our regional competition, so we will be competing against the Northern California league in addition to our Southwest league. Once again, even though it is currently snowing in Mammoth, our Boarder/Skier Cross event has been cancelled. However, we may have a chance to practice a new event that was introduced to our league this year – Snowboarder Slalom! Slalom is like the GS races that snowboarders are used to, but with tighter, more technical turns.
