9/13/24 - Miramar Pre-Season Tournament
This tournament was a testament to our team’s ability to adapt and overcome strenuous circumstances. With a depleted roster for our first game, we were forced to improvise and move a field player to the goalie position, leading to 13 goals from our opponent. Still, the game was won decisively as our guys stayed calm despite a positional shakeup. The second game was a lot more challenging, as Grossmont came out aggressively with a strong starting line-up, keeping the game close all the way to the start of the fourth quarter. Thankfully, all of our starters, including our goalie, made it to this game and played well together despite the long time out of the pool. The whole game was extremely one-sided in regards to calls with the refs favoring Grossmont, however we did not let that affect our mentality and stayed calm throughout the game which allowed us to eventually pull ahead in the fourth quarter and secure the win.
