The first blue vs gold intrasquad of the year took place last Friday! It was a great first racing experience for the Tritons’ newcomers and a fun way to get back into some team competition after a whole summer off. The team had some fast swims in typical swim meet events like the 50 free and 100 IM and a lot of fun participating in some fun, non-traditional events including corkscrew, beluga swim, and even 25s of each stroke! The meet was a great team bonding experience especially for returners to get to know newcomers and vice versa. In a close meet, the Blue team ultimately took the win with 1181.5 points over the Gold team with 1021.5 points. There were also many parents who came out to watch since the intrasquad took place during parents’ weekend.
