    5/24/25 - Spring 2025 Tri-Series

In the first game against UCI, UCSD bowled first and conceded a few more runs than they would've liked. Although the bowlers bowled well there were a few big overs here and there. Kulveer Setya (4.0-0-21-3) and Lincoln Mehndiratta (4.0-0-43-2) helped us pull it back together in the end. While chasing, UCSD got off to a rough start with losing wickets and some slow overs. However, Viv Tiwari (30 off 36) and Vishnu Babu Guturu (29 off 14) kept fighting. After UCSD lost these two batters it got tough for the others to keep up with the run rate. Consequently, UCSD ended up losing by 30 runs.

In the second game against UCLA, UCSD bowled first and was looking good until the 10 over mark having taken important wickets. However, UCLA batted well to reach a par score of 170. But, Kanishk Hari (4.0-0-35-3) and Viv Tiwari (4.0-0-10-1) pulled it back for us to restrict UCLA. UCSD got off to a flamboyant start as Raunak Saluja (54 off 30) and Viv Tiwari (45 off 36) took the game away from UCLA. Although UCSD lost quick wickets in the middle, they held their nerve to finish the game comfortably. UCSD won by 5 wickets.
