At the start of the game, UCSD won the toss and chose to bat first. After plenty of opportunities by great batting, they put up 215 on the board with contributions from Viv Tiwari, Parth Bhagwat and Himanshu. UCLA were closing the gap fast with a decent start, but Pramesh ended the start with two quick wickets. UCSD never relinquished control of the lead, although the win was far from clean. Some errors and miscues in the field made things close at times, however UCSD won in convincing fashion.
