4/5/25 - Women's PCCs in Hawai'i
On the weekend of April 5th and 6th, 4 of our amazing Triton Women's Sailing Team traveled to Hawai'i to compete in the Pacific Coast Wahine Champs on the Keehi Lagoon. Trade winds cleared out the volcanic fog Saturday Morning, providing 15- 20+ kts of breeze throughout the event. Gusty and shifty conditions were a challenge for our sailors. After a rough start to the regatta, Cassie Halaszynski managed a second-place finish, bumping the Tritons into a comfortable 7th place at the end of the first day. The second day was breezier with gusts over 20ts, but after 6 races, the ladies maintained their position, finishing the regatta in 7th.
The Triton Women's Sailing team is grateful to the University of Hawai'i for hosting a great regatta and to their host for the weekend, John Higham, whose hospitality made this trip possible.
