Having played Grossmont earlier in the season, the Tritons knew they would come seeking revenge. Goals were scored back and forth through the first half keeping it a close game, but the Tritons began to control the ball and dominate the Griffins, going up 4 points with only three minutes left. However, their lead caused some members of the team to relax a bit too much, allowing the Griffins to score two points in the last three minutes. However, with a 12-10 win over one of the better teams in their league, the Tritons are set up well with the regional tournament coming up.
