Alas, we have come to the end of our season in sunny Arizona! Both teams made their ways down to Phoenix for this year’s Nationals. Day 1 consisted of pool play, where the A team took first in their pool after close matches with Oregon, Tennessee, and Creighton, securing their spot in the gold power pool for day 2. The B team took 2nd in their pool and fought in a challenge match for gold, where they lost a very close match with Kent State. On day 2, the A team took 2nd in the power pool by beating Clemson and moved on to fight for gold on day 3 as one of the top 16 teams! On day 3, the A team lost a controversial and nail biting 3-set match against SDSU, with the score in the final set being 15-17. The B team fought hard and took 2nd in Flight 2. We are so incredibly proud of our program and are sad to send off many of our seniors— but the friendships and memories made this year have us so excited to begin the next season!
