UCLA Fall 2021 Invitational
UCSD finally had their first meet since 2019! And it went spectacularly!
UCSD finished third overall scoring a combined 1018.5 points, with the women finishing in 4th (scoring 361.5 points) and the men finishing in first place (scoring 657 points)!! There were a total of 12 schools that attended the meet with Cal Poly SLO taking first, GCU in second, UCSD third, UCLA fourth, UCB fifth, USC sixth, ASU seventh, UofO eighth, UCI ninth, USD tenth, UCD eleventh, and CSUSM twelfth.

On the Men's side:
Evan Scales, Dylan Oquendo, Chad Morrison Chad, Jonathan Hsu: 200 Medley Relay (1:35.91)
Chad Morrison 100 Fly (49.68) and First Place
Dylan Oquendo 200 IM (1:57.27) and Second Place
Chad Morrison, Dylan Oquendo, Christopher Rochez, Jonathan Hsu: 200 Free Relay (1:27.06) and Second Place
Chad Morisson 100 Back (54.35) and First Place
Dylan Oquendo 100 Breast (59.71) and Second Place
Chad Morrison 200 Fly (1:56.02) and First Place
There were some other outstanding swims on the men's side:
Christopher Rochez First in the 50 Free
Matthew Swida, Seth Washabaugh, Jason Howard, Matthew Howard finished Second in the 400 Free Relay
On the Women’s side:
Yu Ishii, Piper Sterling, Allie Vela, Kathryn Moran: 200 Medley Relay (1:55.50)
Alondra Martinez 200 Breast (2:39.64) and Second Place
Yu Ishii 100 Back (1:02.80) and First Place
Medha Upadhyay 200 Fly (2:34.34) and Second Place
Overall the team had a tremendous amount of amazing swims at the UCLA Fall Invitational. What a great way to start off the year!
