UCSD vs Marty's 11
UCSD won the toss and elected to bat first, after which UCSD's openers started cautiously in the powerplay, getting to 41/1 at the end of the 7-over powerplay. Openers Yash Patki and Ganesh Nachiappan both got starts, but with both of them gone at 43-2, UCSD were in danger of losing a strong position. Captain Karan Sidhu and vice-captain Aryaman Sinha put on 83 runs for the third-wicket before Karan got out for 31 trying to push the tempo. Aryaman finished the innings with a bang, hitting 6 fours and 5 sixes in a career best 80 off 55 balls to take UCSD to a slightly under-par 174/5. However, under lights with conditions becoming slightly tougher for batters, UCSD knew they could make a fight of it. The fast bowlers bowled well, with Karan taking 4 wickets to highlight a disciplined bowling effort. However, a well compiled fifty from Marty's opener Rahul and finishing touches from Girish meant that Marty's 11 came out on the winning side.
