UCSD vs San Diego Masters
This was UCSD's first game of the season, a warm up game going into the big NCCA Pacific Zonals Tournament. It was important that we got into our groove early. The San Diego Masters had a couple of ex-UCSD players, and it was good fun going up against some of our alumni with a pretty young team. The Masters racked up 251/3 in their 25 overs on the back of 145 from Sarthak Khemka and 50 from Pramaan Gour. However, UCSD would not back down from the steep target. UCSD came out all guns blazing, and contributions from everyone in the top 7 meant that UCSD got to 220 before being bowled out, eventually losing by 31 runs. UCSD's vice captain Aryaman Sinha top scored for the home side with 51. Even though the result didn't go our way, there were a lot of positives to take from a young team scoring 200+ in their first game, and it was a great first game.
