After a year away, the UCSD Tritons traveled north for a warm weekend in Santa Barbara for the Fall Pacific Coast Championship. The weather resulted in a postponement on the first day of sailing, but UCSD Tritons know how to make the best of any situation. Once on the water, conditions were lumpy, with wind maxing out at around 10 knots all weekend. The weekend ended with N. Dorn, S. Franc, N. Barton, D. Coy, V. Vinil, O. Diloreto, J. Alexander, and B, Valente finishing 7th overall in the Coed Varsity fleet. S. Leonard, E. Pertseva, A. Brooks, A. Rogness, J. Dally, and A. Biener finished 3rd overall in the Women's Varsity fleet. The impressively large JV roster for Tritons 1, 2, 3, and 4 finished 7th, 15th, 19th, and 23rd overall. In the biggest regatta of the Fall season, the Tritons sailed fast & hard, all while looking ahead for upcoming regattas-Go Tritons!
