This was Arizona State University's first time hosting a regatta! It was located right above Phoenix and was hosted on this large beautiful lake. All the teams were able to camp together on this big site and everyone had a blast. ASU was gracious enough to supply breakfast and dinners the weekend we were there, lots of intercollegiate bonding. Bringing the boats down on a trailer, we sailed 3 boats this weekend. Both Saturday and Sunday, there was lots of wind with gusts up to 30 knots. The current was a fun challenge in the lake, and the water was very cold despite the gorgeous sun and beautiful weather. We had quite a few capsizes, but just all the more practice!
