UCSD lost the toss and was put into batting first. Despite not having their main players UCSD was able to stabilize their innings through cameos from Ishan Banerjee (29 off 23), Kanishk Hari (24* off 25), Kulveer Setya (23* off 24), and Vishnu Babu Guturu (22 off 19). UCSD set a target of 119 for the hosts, UCI. The bowlers gave a dream start by picking up a couple wickets while keeping the run-rate below par. The pick of the bowlers were Vishnu Babu Guturu (4.0-0-31-4) and Anirudh Rajesh (4.0-0-30-3). Huge props to Kanishk Hari and Kulveer Setya for choking the UCI batters for runs. In the end, UCSD managed to win 118-106 and beat UCI at their home for the first time!
