    3/19/25 - Nationals 2025

This tournament was a great opportunity for this group of players to bond as a team while playing a high level of cricket at some of the best cricket facilities in the US. The first game was a tough one for UCSD as they played Georgia Tech University. UCSD Bowled first and restricted Georgia Tech to 147 in 20 overs. However, when UCSD came into bat, they had a hard time getting going and were eventually bowled out for 90. The second game was much better as Iowa State could only get 122 in their 20 overs, and UCSD was able to chase it in 14 overs. Going into the third game, which was a must-win game for UCSD, they came out and batted first and were able to get 143 in their 20 overs. When Northeastern came to bat, they got off to a very good start, however, UCSD was able to pull it back by picking up a lot of quick wickets. Unfortunately, Northeastern were just able to cross the line winning by 2 wickets which meant that UCSD were knocked out of the tournament but there were a lot of learnings to take from this and the team really bonded a lot over this game as everyone showed a lot of character and never gave up until the game was over. Overall, even though the results may not have gone our way, the efforts of this team were incredible and it is looking very promising going into the next year.
