Battle of the UCs! UCSD vs. UCI

The Lady Tritons came out against the UCI Anteaters with excitement as they were eager to come out with a win. In the previous season, UCSD fell short to the Anteaters 10-11. This year, the Lady Tritons came ready for a tough battle.

The draw controls in this game were pivotal to the win. Freshman Gillian Husovsky maintained her cool as she continued to fight and maintain control over the ball. As a wise midfielder, she played her cards right and was able to score 4 goals. Another powerful athlete, Kendra Shae Ziegler, was able to throw off the Anteater defense with her strong left handed goals, receiving a total of 4 goals for the Tritons.  Freshmen Ellen Jurgens (2 goals), Senior Nicole Goodwin (1 goal) and Senior Kellen Peddicord (1 goal) all put points on the board.

The Lady Tritons came out with a 15-6 win against the UCI Anteaters. Overall, the Tritons have demonstrated to be a threat in their division and look forward to another game tomorrow against Concordia Irvine.
