Over the weekend, the UCSD B team played the out of their minds going undefeated in their 5-team pool. They started the day a bit slow, defeating Cal Poly Pomona by only a handful of points, but started to pick up the pace as UCR started to give them a fight. Neck and neck with UCR for the most part, the Tritons managed to go on a run with a combination of Luke Byrne's terminal swings and Andrew Benser's monstrous serves. In their game against, APU, Evan Loh took the spotlight as he was unstoppable, getting kills left and right. To end the long day of volleyball, the Slam Diegans complete their perfect record by handily defeating USC. Overall, their setter, Ian Leui, played spectacularly the entire day and really brought his team together.
