UCSD Dominates UCI to Advance to 4-0

The UCSD Tritons came out against divisional opponent UCI with a win last Saturday. This puts them to 4-0 on the year and 1-0 in league.

The game started out in a slugfest, at the end of the first, the score was 5-3 UCSD. Both teams scored and scored quickly. However, the Triton defense tightened down and allowed only 1 goal for the entire rest of the game. This in large was due to the Triton defense shutting down Taylor Fialkowski, UCI’s top scorer and points leader across the nation.

On the offensive side, Freshman LSM Cameron Parsha notched his second goal of the season, and rookie Finn Reid continued to dominate his opponents. Senior Captain Nolan Harris commanded the field, and led a large amount of successful rides, helping the Tritons win the possession battle.

Overall, the Tritons will look to improve to 6-0 overall, and 3-0 in league in the next two weeks. If they can do so they will clinch a playoff berth for the third year in a row. These two wins will have to come over CSU Long Beach, and division rival University of San Diego.
