After a long drive to Bakersfield, the UCSD Tritons made it to the game. We were severely short-benched. It was UCSD final game and we came out with a positive attitude. In the first period, Bakersfield scored a couple quick goals, but thanks to UCSD's star forward, Alexei Davis,  UCSD wasn't too far behind. Alexei put up a couple of goals due to his explosive speed. At the end of the 2nd, UCSD almost made a comeback with the score being 4-3. And fortunately, with the brilliant saving of our goaltender Nolan Karma, the UCSD Tritons were able to keep the score at 5-4 for a long time in the third period. Though it was still in Bakersfield favor. However, again in the third period, Bakersfield got a couple of lucky shots and they secured their win with 2 successive goals. This game was a game we needed to make our 16-game minimum for our league.
