UCSD won the toss and elected to bat first. The openers gave a great start to the team and the runs were coming at a good rate. Vice-captain Pramaan Gour's innings of 71 and Aryaman Sinha's innings of 52 were the highlights of a good batting performance. UCSD's bowlers were dominating once again as they restricted the batsmen from Marty's team very well. Koushik was the pick of the bowlers and finished with impressive bowling figures. Marty's team could only manage to score 149.
