In their final away game of the regular season, UCSD Field Hockey obtained their fourth win with a final score of 9-1. The game began with slow start; Claremont held their own in the beginning with the majority of the possession. This changed following a timeout called by Amanda Warford, the UCSD coach, shifting the momentum of the game. As the intensity of our UCSD team grew, an offensive mindset resulted in goals scored by Alberto Montanilla, Samantha Brinton, Anna McQuarrie, and Gorjeite Sweidan. Claremont was able to counter in the second half, with a quick breakaway ending the possibility of a shutout for UCSD. The hard-fought game came to an end and the Tritons are already looking forward to their next home game against the Gauchos on November 16th.
