2/26/23- UCSD Last Home Game of Winter Quarter to Celebrate Our Seniors

This past Sunday the UCSD Women’s club soccer team faced off against USD for their last home game of the winter quarter. This game also celebrated the graduating seniors this year, Allison Lee, Elayna Osterman, Naomi Araujo, Roni Yonce, Roxy Victoria, and Aoife Noonan. We appreciate the UCSD seniors for their constant dedication and contributions to the team, and they are truly a core part of the program. They will be missed this next upcoming season!

In the first half, Triton goalie, Allison Lee, and the backline shut down the Torero's offense while the Triton attackers had many chances to goal, but unfortunately could not find the back of the net. The first half ended scoreless for both teams.

The Tritons came into the second half with high intensity and kept a majority of the possession. The Triton forwards continued to take on the Torero's defense creating more dangerous scoring opportunities. UCSD kept up a high pressure against USD and played hard throughout the half. After a tough battled game the Tritons and Toreros ended with a 0-0 draw.

UCSD Women’s club soccer will be traveling to Northridge to play against CSUN next week for another game.
