    2/23/24 - UCSD vs Claremont

The Triton’s game against the Claremont Foxes on February 24th started off strong with a catch from Mack, which set the tone for an exhausting yet exhilarating match. Nikole played fullback well, making many impressive tackles that saved our defensive line. Tsai poached the ball and made a great run before unfortunately subbing out due to a knee injury. Lara took a painful tackle like a champ and even passed the ball while taking an elbow to the gut! Soph impressed everyone with her ability to break through the Foxes’ defensive line multiple times. The referee clearly liked our team and made many positive comments about our scrums and our game in general. Towards the end of the game, Leila offloaded the ball to Kelsey who in turn offloaded to Mack, Alexis poached twice and Dory made a try-saving tackle. Although the Tritons lost the game 72-0, our team maintained a great attitude on the pitch, improved in comparison to previous games and had a great time playing.
