UCSD won the toss and chose to bowl first. After getting 5 quick wickets, the alumni Aryaman Sinha (110 off 68) and Kulveer Setya (53 off 41) took the game away by reaching a humongous total of 240. The pick of the bowlers for UCSD was Krishay Patel (5.0-0-2-27). In response, UCSD started well but kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Only two batters, Vishnu Babu Guturu (83 off 52) and Ritvik Mohindru (55 off 27), were able to convert their starts. Their knocks helped UCSD come close to chasing the total; however, after their wickets, there was no hope. UCSD lost by 26 runs.
