This weekend the Tritons headed down to SDSU again for the first CWPA League Tournament of the year! 

The A team got right into it against their rivals, SDSU A, beating them 14-12 with Tania Frank leading the offense with 6 goals. They won 21-6 in their game against SDSU B, with goalie Story Waxman getting 10 blocks and 2 assists. On Sunday, the A team played the two out-of-state schools, ASU and University of Arizona. They beat ASU 13-7 and U of A 18-3, with nearly every player scoring at some point on Sunday!

The B team had a fantastic weekend, going 2-2 overall. In their first game against ASU, they started off strong with a tied first quarter but fell short in the end. Their second game was a nail-biter against UC Irvine, with the lead going back and forth between both teams, but the B Team won 16-15 in overtime. On Sunday, the B Team won their first game against University of Arizona 8-6 after a very low-scoring 2nd and 3rd quarter where each team only scored once. Finally, the B Team had a fun game against SDSU A, where goalie Elizabeth Flynn went into the field during the 4th quarter and scored a buzzer-beater shot in the final seconds of the game!

Overall, both teams were very strong this weekend and are ready to get right back to work ahead of the next tournament in Arizona!
