This was the very first tournament of its kind, hosted in Northern California and invited teams from different sections over the west coast. UC San Diego got to play schools from Southern California as well as schools from different regions such as Northern Arizona University, Santa Clara and many others. Our A team won all the matches in their pool and went on to playing in the gold bracket, while our B team got 2nd place in the pool stage and went on to play the silver bracket. Both teams unfortunately lost in the first round of both brackets, but everyone played fantastically as they never gave up on the victory during their matches. The B team lost in a tie-breaker at the very end between our mixed doubles team and UC Irvine's, and the A team lost in overtime against Santa Clara's A team.
