UCSD vs. SDSU
This past Sunday, UCSD Club Tennis hosted its first ever dual match against SDSU. UCSD A team was able to bring the home crowd a win with an overall score of 30-4. Women's doubles, featuring Jessica Cramer and Melissa Tran won their set 6-3. Men's doubles team Sanjeev Sinha and Kailash Venkatraman pulled a win 6-0. Both girls’ singles and guys’ singles won their sets 6-0, and Jesus Osuna played with Melissa Tran in the mixed set and won again 6-4. On the other hand, UCSD's B team had a tough loss against SDSU's B team. Women's doubles, men's doubles, and women's singles all lost 4-6, giving the home team a 6 game shortage. Men's singles player Vincent You was able to win his match 6-4, and the mixed team won in a tiebreak 6-5. The final score of B team is 24-27.
It was a very fun Sunday for players from both schools to play some matches, and the Tritons are hoping to host something like again with schools in the San Diego area!
