In untypical fashion, the Tritons were held to a dismal 0-0 draw against UC Irvine. The Tritons fought hard against a well-balanced UCI squad with decent attacking opportunities, but could not come out on top, with UCI being the more dangerous team during this game. Despite that, UCSD worked hard on and off the ball to prevail with the tie. Although disappointing, UCSD goes home with another game undefeated, now going 4 games without losing this season; the Tritons currently sit 1st place in the league.
