UCSD Men's Club Soccer Wins Season Opener
The UCSD Men's Club Soccer Team starts their season off strong with a convincing 2-0 win vs. San Marcos. An early red card for UCSD to prevent a goal led to a fantastic counter-attack, with central midfielder Firas Eid threading a pinpoint pass over the defense to forward Rohan Oprisko, who slots the ball home easily against the CSUSM goalie. UCSD prevailed through the rest of the half and part of the second with a 1-0 lead until junior captain Luca Scotzniovsky lofts a 35-yard shot into an open net after catching the goalkeeper well out of his box. The score remains for the rest of the game, and the Tritons start their season on a high note, ready for another undefeated season.
