The UCSD Tritons narrowly defeated the USD Toreros with a final score of 19-17, marking their first victory over the Toreros in a decade. The game's highlight was an exceptional offload from Sam Crollas to Dom Escobar, leading to a spectacular try.  Leading 19-10 into the last 10 minutes, the Tritons seemed poised for a comfortable win. However, the Toreros staged a dramatic comeback, scoring right at the death to bring the score to a nail-biting 19-17. Despite the late surge from the Toreros, the Tritons' defense held firm, securing a long-awaited victory. It ends a decade-long drought and redefines the rivalry between these two local teams.
