11/17-11/18/23 - UCSD vs EWU
Game #1: UCSD hosts Eastern Washington University for their first home game of the season. The first period saw three EWU goals, much to the dismay of the hometown crowd and the Tritons themselves. The following period saw a lot of might from the Tritons, much of which resulted in penalties instead of plays, and two more Eagles' goals. However, throughout the second, the Triton penalty kill helped to stop the EWU offense and kept them, thankfully to only two goals in the period. In the third, the Eagles and the Tritons continued to go at it, both taking frequent penalties until the end of the game. The Tritons kept the Eagles scoring at bay in the third but were not able to add any of their own up on the board. After a hard fought game the Tritons lost their first home game.
Game #2: UCSD hosts Eastern Washington University for the second game of the series, looking forward to prove themselves from the loss before. Thankfully, this game saw less penalties than the one before from both teams, but still ended with a 6 point differential between the two teams. However, the tritons were happy after the first period to go into the locker room 2-1 for the Eagles, with a goal from Weston Dlugos to help them along. Another goal from Alex Nakashima helped the Tritons along, but was not enough for the 8 goals the Eagles were able to put on the board. After another hard fought game the Tritons lost again to Eastern Washington University.
