11/10 - W Rugby Mixed Touch Social
On another beautiful Sunday morning, the psycho rugby lovers on the men's and women’s teams trudged onto Warren after playing games the day before, busted up and sore, but still eager to run around under the sweltering sun for the love of the game. Numbers were a lot more conservative this week which was understandable, with many others opting out for recovery. But not the 13 mad dogs who groggily made their way onto the field.
With the lack of numbers, a round-robin was no longer viable. And so everyone just split off into 2 teams and we played 7-minute games against each other and mixed the teams around every 2 games. A standout player from the games, Chingi Lin, is among the top try scorers across the games with her impeccable timing, positioning and acceleration on the wing.
At the end of the day, it was a relatively more fun, freeform, and relaxed pickup game. But ultimately, the goal of these is to have fun and enjoy the sport of rugby with others who love the game. What better way to spend your Sunday mornings?
