The Tritons take on CSULB at Lakewood Ice. The rink ambience was present for both teams, Long Beach with the presence of their cheerleaders in the stands amongst the fans, and UCSD with the return of Jake Holl, an alumni from the previous year cheering them on and offering some words of wisdom to the team before the game. The first period, however, did not go as the Tritons had drawn it up, falling early to CSULB. And, unfortunately, even after a few goals, UCSD was not able to recover from that early LB lead, and all of their goals that followed. After a tough 3 periods the Tritons lost 3-8.
