UCSD started off the game well, scoring the first goal of the game, but buckled during the 2nd and 3rd, allowing 3 goals in each period, and only responding with 2 goals. Despite the Tritons outshooting CSU Long Beach, UCSD could not comeback and lost the game 3-6. Senior Nicholas Goutzioulis scored his first of this season as did freshman Ken Rolnick, scoring his first as a Triton.
