10/7-10/8 CWPA Tournament 1 at UCSD!
The UCSD Men’s Club Water Polo team hosted the CWPA Tournament 1 this past weekend (10/7-10/8) which included teams such as ASU, USD, UofA, SDSU, GCU, and UCI. The A-team went 4-0 with an overall score of 65-14 over all 4 games, showing the dominance of Team A. The Triton A-Team will look to improve their teamwork and offensive patience over the course of the season, but the overall team speed and defense were great. There were lots of individual talent across the board, but team chemistry is something the Tritons want to improve as well. Overall, it was a great weekend with great results.
The Triton B-Team went 3-1-0. The B-Team won games against GCU, UCI, and SDSU B, but ended up in a tie against USD. While the game did finish in a draw, UCSD started the game with a 5-1 lead, but eventually couldn’t hold on. The B-Team intends to improve their abilities at closing games. It was overall a great weekend for the B team as well, taking second in the tournament behind the A team.
