UCSD won a triple-overtime against UCSB, the longest game of the season. Our Tritons took an early 1-0 lead in the first quarter, with Addy Rodriguez taking a low baseline tomahawk which deflected off the goalie and Katie Balen finishing it with a reverse sweep into the goal. The Gauchos later matched in the third quarter, resulting in a 1-1 tie. After playing two overtime periods with no resolution, the game went to 1v1 shootouts. After a back-and-forth shootout, UCSD won with a final score of 2-1 with Hannah Nagakura and Katie Balen scoring the winning shootout goals.
