The Tritons made conference history this weekend! The A team won the entire CWPA Regional Championship tournament, with our B team earning second! The A team's first game against SDSU was a blowout 12-3 win, and the B team won their first game against UCI fairly easily as well with a 9-6 win. A team's next game was easily the closest of the season, going down 6-2 early in the game, ASU was just unable to miss a single shot throughout the whole game. A team clawed their way back, finally pulling ahead at the very end to finish with a final score of 12-11. B team then played ASU only a few hours later, and having just played an unbelievably close game, they were defeated by our B team as well. The B team defeated ASU 9-5. With A and B teams both securing spots in the Championship game, they were automatically given first and second place, ending off the weekend with a combined 4-0 record.
