10/2/22- UC San Diego vs UC Los Angeles

UCLA won the toss and elected to bat first on Muir Field. UCLA looked to get a fast start within the powerplay but lost 3 quick wickets within the first 2 overs. Debutant Ibrahim began what would be an excellent spell with a maiden. Despite the fast start, UCLA only managed to get 29, losing 5 wickets within the powerplay. UCSD continued its strong bowling form from the previous game, bowling out UCLA at 96 within the 19th over. Ibrahim, the Man of the Match, and Karan led the bowling attack for UCSD taking 2 and 3 wickets, respectively, at a very good economy. With the ball changes from the previous day, batting proved slightly tougher, as UCSD also lost a couple of early wickets within the powerplay. Aryaman led the chase with his steady 32 in 46, and despite a few hiccups near the end, UCSD managed to secure a comfortable win over UCLA within the 16th over. It was an excellent weekend for UCSD, as they went up to 2 wins and 0 losses in the SoCal Shield tournament.
