10/13/23 Blue vs. Gold Intrasquad Meet Fall 2023

Club Swim had their first Intrasquad Meet of the season held this past Friday. The meet was an overall success with many team members participating and having a great time meeting other members, while getting some racing experience under them as they get ready to race in their first official meet on Sunday, October 22nd. The meet consisted of many different events that swimmers were not accustomed to seeing at regular meets, and it was met with positive reception as it added a different flavor to the competitiveness and team spirit shown at the meet. In the end, the Blue team won for the very first time over Gold with a final scoreline of 1213-1160. There were some amazing performances from each side, with Itay Ben-Yoseph from Gold, standing out with 60 points on the men’s side, while Erin Swift from Blue and Sydney Lin from Gold, stood out on the women’s side with 56 points each.

The team has been working very hard over the past 2 weeks and looks forward to competing at the Spooky Splash Invitational hosted at UCSD on October 22nd, 2023. They are eager to start racing and get one step closer to qualifying for CCS Nationals to be held in April!
