The Tritons started a little slow, but scored first, with graduate student Andrew Chua scoring on the powerplay through a screen. Ending the first period 1-0. Eventually, Fullerton would strike back twice in the second period with only a single goal in response from the Tritons also scored by Andrew Chua on the powerplay. The 3rd would see a good number of chances for both teams, though UCSD had several more than Fullerton, and Alex Tatoian would score the game winner in the 3rd to make the game 3-2. Senior goaltender Isaac Laddon played the entire game and played incredibly well, stopping 22 out of 24. UCSD would outshoot Fullerton 55-24 and win the game 3-2.
