1/12-1/14/24 - UCSD Two Game Series Against Washington State University

    Washington State University Game #1

    Loss (0-10)

In the first game of a home double-header, the Tritons faced off against the Cougars in a disappointing showing for the Tritons, who found themselves unable to put any up on the board. Matched with the 10 from the opposing team, the Tritons were unable to find any momentum in this game, struggling to clear the puck from their defensive zone, with some critical mistakes on both sides of the ice. The Tritons look for a better result in the next game against WSU.

    Washington State University Game #2

    Loss (1-7)

The Tritons faced off against the Cougars again for the second time in as many days, and they were able to slow the bleeding that started in the previous game, keeping WSU to only 7 goals and even scoring one of their own. Although the Tritons were disappointed again with this negative result, they found improvement from the previous game, working on their defensive zone and icing the puck when they needed a rest to try to save their goalie from having to make so many critical saves. The most important note from this game would be the improvement, helping the Tritons find their identity as a team and discover how they want to work together.
