UDA Nationals was a great experience for the team to continue to have while representing the school, especially as a D1 athlete.  Flights were a little stressful as they were cancelled and we had to rearrange for them the day before we had to be there, but it was handled.  The rooms were easily accessible in the resort with the other teams, and we were able to stay near other teams as well.  Competition went well, as we had prepared as much as we can for multiple months beforehand.  It was devastating to not make it pass the first round (prelims) for pom, and we were only able to perform it once.  However, we did all portray and discuss that we had done the best we could, and hope to do better the following year.  WE were able to make semi-finals for Jazz, and also provided a great performance and with all the effort and confidence the team can give.  We were also given the opportunity to attend the World Disney Theme Parks and do some team bonding.

One of the biggest highlights was being recognized by other teams and coaches as the UCSD dance team who competes nationally and has done previously well.  Another great highlight and opportunity was sitting with the team altogether and being able to watch the other finalist teams perform, since we all have the same passion for dance.  Of course, the last highlight would be enjoying and having fun at the World Disney Theme parks.
