UC San Diego field hockey earned a solid 3-1 victory over one of their toughest opponents, SDFHA, in a competitive and high-energy scrimmage. The Tritons got on the board early in the first quarter with a strong finish from Addy Rodriguez. In the second quarter, James Polashock doubled the lead by finishing a perfectly placed pass across the goal.

SDFHA fought back with intensity and managed to get one on the board, but UCSD stayed composed and continued to maintain good team chemistry. In the fourth quarter, James Polashock added his second goal of the game by dribbling down the field, through the defense, and scoring an own goal. Throughout the match, the Tritons focused on transferring the ball effectively in the backfield and improving their transitions between defense and attack. While SDFHA always brings a tough challenge, UCSD enjoys the competitive spirit of the game and looks forward to future matchups.
