Every year, we send 8 sailors who have dedicated significant time and energy into the sailing team, to Hawaii for the PJ Rainbow invite. On the gorgeous island of Oahu, the University of Hawaii were amazing hosts. With shell necklaces, coconut awards, and a BBQ hosted after racing Saturday - we definitely had a blast. 

This weekend, there was a light breeze out of the south with the wind picking up more as the day continued. Without crazy waves to worry about, we worked hard on the starts and rolling hard throughout the whole race. UCSD Sailing navigated the shifting wind conditions, and was able to participate in the rout robin with each team switching boats in each rotation. 

There were sunny skies each day with beautiful warm weather. It was awesome getting to meet other teams as well outside of our conference, with teams coming from east coast of the U.S. and British Columbia as well. UH was gracious enough to charter boats for all the teams, so thank you again to them!
