Certification Programs

UC San Diego Recreation FitLife offers three fantastic training programs to get you on your way as a Fitness Instructor or Yoga Teacher. Quality instructors are always in demand, either as a part time or full time career.


FitLife offers a wide variety of fitness classes to help you get in shape and stay healthy. Whether you prefer strength training, bootcamp, cycling, zumba, core or aqua fitness classes there is something for everyone. Can't decide what classes to take, or want to try a little bit of everything?  A Fitness-Yoga Pass can be used for most Fitness and Yoga classes.

FitLife Occupational

FitLife Occupational comes to you! These workshops are designed to improve your wellbeing and work environment.

FitLife Mobile

FitLife Mobile comes to you! We can bring our expert team to your location for on-going fitness and wellness classes, or provide the wow element at your next event or retreat. Nutrition workshops and chair massage are also available.


Every period between quarters FitLife offers Interim Fitness & Yoga classes.

Massage Therapy

Massage Therapy has been proven to relieve stress, quicken recover, and improve muscle and skin tone. Our therapists are highly skilled in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports and Heated Stone massage. Join us in our Rejuvenations Therapy center for a treatment soon.

Nutrition Services

FitLife offers Nutrition Education as part of our spectrum of health and well-being services. Recreation's very own Registered Dietitian is available for private and semi-private nutrition consultations as well as group workshops and cooking demonstrations.

Personal Training

Personal Training is for those who would like the one-on-one attention of our certified and experienced trainers. A Personal Trainer can help your with weight loss, injury rehabilitation, fitness improvement and sport specific training.

Private Pilates

Pilates training is an elegant system of exercise that will tone, strengthen and streamline your entire body. Use this system to improve core stability, posture and your sense of well-being.

Wellness Programs

Our Personal Wellness Programs provide individualized fitness and small group training with your peers and our wellness instructors, giving you the opportunity to create a lifestyle of well-being and helping you achieve your fitness goals.

WorkStrong is a UC-wide program available to employees who have been injured at work. It is designed to reduce the risk of future injury and promote overall health and wellbeing. WorkStrong is a partnership with Occupational Medicine, Workers’ Compensation and Recreation.
